Today we reach the end of this week's Torah portion.
Genealogies can tempt us to read quickly. Don't.
Look for repeated words, phrases, and patterns in Genesis 5.
Then continue into Genesis 6:1–8.
When you finish, step back and consider everything you have read since Monday.

Ask:
Where did the story begin?
Where has it arrived by Genesis 6:8?
What changed?
What remained true about God?
What patterns developed as the story continued?
Don't try to summarize every detail.
Try to see the movement of the whole passage.
