Leviticus 23:33–36

Now read YHWH's initial instructions concerning the Feast of Booths. Before trying to explain the feast, simply notice what He tells His people to do.

Read Leviticus 23:33–36 slowly.

1. What actions or instructions do you see in the passage?
2. What does YHWH set apart about the first and eighth days?
3. What does it mean to you that YHWH doesn't merely tell His people about this appointed time—He calls them to gather?

As Sukkot approaches, consider whether you are simply aware that the Feast is coming or whether you are responding to YHWH's call to come before Him.
