Main gathering
Approximately two hours
You are welcome to join us for prayer before the service. At 2:55 p.m., the shofar sounds to announce that it is time to enter the sanctuary.
We begin with commentary on the weekly Torah portion. Together, we then recite the Shema and the Ten Commandments, followed by a time of worship.
After worship, we receive approximately 60 minutes of biblical teaching. We close with additional worship and special blessings over the women and children of the congregation.
Following the service, everyone is invited to remain for Oneg—a shared potluck meal organized around a weekly theme. Visitors are always welcome to participate, whether or not they bring food.
The main gathering lasts approximately two hours, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Oneg begins afterward and continues for as long as people would like to stay and enjoy fellowship.
Children are a valued part of our congregation, and many families worship with us. Children are welcome to remain with their families throughout the gathering. The ordinary sounds of children are expected; we simply ask families to be considerate of others if a child becomes persistently disruptive.
A nursery is available, and children also have an opportunity to attend a class during the main teaching. For the safety of our families, all children’s workers complete annual background checks.
Everyone is asked to dress modestly and respectfully.
You are welcome to come, observe, and take your time. You are not required to participate in every part of the gathering.
You do not need to understand all practices before attending.
Free parking, a wheelchair-accessible entrance, and free WiFi are available.
