COMPLETEDWalking Toward Shabbat

DAY 7 OF 7

Shabbat · September 19
Come ready tostrengthen the Body.
Yeshua seen from behind with people gathered around a table

Family, we've made it to Shabbat.

For two weeks now we've been working through what Scripture says about the Body.

You've spent time in Romans 12:3–8.

You've spent time in Ephesians 4:13–16.

You've read, observed, asked questions, investigated, compared Scripture with Scripture, tested what you thought you understood, and asked what your own stewardship might look like.

Today we're going to bring that work together.

BEFORE YOU COME

Look back through both weeks of your journal.

Romans 12:3–8.

Ephesians 4:13–16.

Choose one thing to bring:

  • Something you discovered
  • A connection you found between the passages
  • A question you still have
  • Something you're unsure about
  • Something that challenged what you previously thought
  • Something you've begun to see about your own stewardship in the Body

You don't need to prepare a teaching.

Bring your Bible.

Bring your journal.

Bring what you've found.

COME READY FOR EACH OTHER

Someone may have seen something you missed.

Someone may ask a question you haven't considered.

Something you found may help somebody else.

And something another person found may challenge you to go back to the Word.

That's part of what we've been studying.

We're not gathering to defend our conclusions.

We're gathering to understand the Word and strengthen one another.

So come ready to listen.

Come ready to contribute.

Come ready to test what we say from Scripture.

And come willing to be corrected by the Word.

EACH INDIVIDUAL PART

Paul says the Body grows:

"according to the proper working of each individual part."

We've spent two weeks asking what that means.

Now we're going to put our work on the table together.

Bring what you have.

Come ready to do your part.

I'll see you at Shabbat.
