DAY 6 OF 7
For two weeks we've been looking at the Body.
Romans 12 showed us one Body with many members and different gifts.
Ephesians 4 tells us that the Body grows as it is joined together and as each individual part does its work.
Today I want you to stop looking around the Body for a moment and look at yourself.
WHAT IS MY STEWARDSHIP?
It's easy to ask what everyone else should be doing.
That's not today's question.
Today's question is:
What has the LORD entrusted to me, and am I faithfully using it?
Don't feel pressure to put a label on your "spiritual gift" today.
You may still be trying to understand that.
We're asking something simpler.
What has the LORD already placed in your hands?
What opportunities do you already have to strengthen someone else?
Where are you already serving?
Where could you grow?
LOOK AT YOURSELF HONESTLY
Take some time with these questions:
What has the LORD already given me that could strengthen someone else?
Where am I currently participating in the work of the Body?
Where am I expecting someone else to do what I should be doing?
Is there something I need to begin doing, or learn how to do, so I can better strengthen the Body?
Don't answer the way you think you're supposed to.
Be specific.
TODAY'S WORK
Look back through your Romans 12 and Ephesians 4 notes.
Then write:
My stewardship in the Body right now looks like...
You may not have a complete answer.
That's okay.
Write what you can honestly say from what you've been studying and what the LORD has placed in front of you.
Keep your journal with you.
Tomorrow, we're finally going to bring these two weeks of work together.
