DAY 3 OF 7
Yesterday you looked carefully at what Paul wrote.
Today we're going to turn some of those observations into questions.
Remember, a question isn't a problem.
A good question shows us where we need to keep studying.
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO UNDERSTAND?
Go back through Ephesians 4:13–16 and your observations.
What makes you stop and wonder?
You might ask:
What is "the unity of the faith"?
What does Paul mean by a "mature man"?
What is "the fullness of Christ"?
Why does Paul compare immaturity to children being tossed by waves?
What does speaking truth in love have to do with growth?
What does it mean that the Body is "fitted and held together"?
What is the "proper working of each individual part"?
You may have completely different questions.
That's good.
Let your questions come from the text.
TODAY'S WORK
Write down three to five questions from Ephesians 4:13–16.
Then choose one question you especially want to understand.
Don't rush to answer it.
And don't bring Romans back into the study yet.
We've spent these first few days listening to Ephesians.
Tomorrow, we'll begin investigating—and then we'll bring some of last week's work back to the table.
